Artist's Statement

Basil & Rosemary: A Chef’s Story Told Through Meals, is an instructive cookbook and eBook, which features a small collection of traditional Lebanese and Hungarian dishes. In this book, you will find many traditional family recipes including: stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, and kibbeh from Lebanon; chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage, and palacsinta from Hungary. The preparation of each dish is filled with memories of being in the kitchen with my mother and grandmothers. As I evolved into a confident chef in my own right, I began to infuse my own favorite ingredients such as basil, rosemary and other fresh herbs. Even if you are not of Lebanese or Hungarian descent, there is much for you to enjoy as you prepare these flavorful dishes. I hope you share them with the people you love.
